Thomas Ruzicka studied medicine at the Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich and works as a junior physician currently at the Center for Addictive Disorders at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zurich. During his studies he performed translational research in the field of tumor immunology investigating the role of certain cytokines in solid tumor progression. In 2025 he joined the research group as a research assistant and study physician in order to investigate the effect of ketamine in combination with fMRI neurofeedback training as a treatment approach for alcohol use disorder.
