8. Burghölzli Psychiatry Meeting

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to invite you to the 8th Burghölzli Psychiatry Meeting, which will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM at the University Hospital of Psychiatry Zurich (PUK), Lenggstrasse 31, 8032 Zurich. Please note that the meeting will be held in Englisch.

We are particularly pleased to announce that Prof. Dr. Carmine Pariante, Professor of Biological Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, will provide the keynote lecture at this event. Professor Pariante studies the role of stress and inflammation in the pathogenesis of various mental disorders and in the response to psychotropic drugs, both in clinical and experimental settings.

Participation is free of charge. However prior registration is required via the following link: «Registration». 

Researchers from the field of psychiatry, psychology, neurology, neuropharmacology, neurobiology, and other neurosciences are invited to submit scientific poster abstracts by September 1, 2025, to bpm@bli.uzh.ch on one of the following topics:

• Molecular Psychiatry and Neuropsychopharmacology
• Computational Psychiatry and Artificial Intelligence
• Neuroimaging and EEG
• Clinical Trials
• Humanities in Psychiatry

Please submit your abstract using the provided abstract submission form: «Abstract form» (DOCX, 80 KB). 

Abstracts should be in English, no longer than 200 words, and structured as follows: 
Title, Author(s), Author affiliation(s), Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion. 
Accepted abstracts will be published in an electronic abstract booklet.

A jury will select the top six to eight abstracts for oral presentation. Additionally, the three best posters will be awarded a prize of CHF 400 each.

Please note that submitting an abstract does not serve as registration for the meeting. To confirm your participation, kindly complete your registration by using the registration button above. 

The full program will be available on this website by mid-October 2025.

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren
Liebe Kolleginnen und Kollegen

Auch in diesem Jahr möchten wir Sie gerne herzlich zum 8. Burghölzli Psychiatry Meeting einladen, das am Dienstag, 11. November 2025, von 13:30 bis 19:00 Uhr an der der Psychiatrischen Universitätsklinik Zürich (PUK), Lenggstrasse 31, 8032 Zürich, stattfinden wird. Die Veranstaltungssprache ist Englisch.

Es freut uns besonders, dass wir Prof. Dr. Carmine Pariante, Professor für Biologische Psychiatrie am Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, King’s College London, als Hauptredner für die Veranstaltung gewinnen konnten. Professor Pariante erforscht die Rolle von Stress und Entzündungen in der Pathogenese verschiedener psychischer Störungen und in der Reaktion auf Psychopharmaka, sowohl in klinischen als auch in experimentellen Settings.

Die Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung ist kostenlos, jedoch ist eine Anmeldung über den folgenden Link erforderlich. «Anmeldung». 

Forscherinnen und Forscher aus den Bereichen Psychiatrie, Psychologie, Neurologie, Neuropharmakologie, Neurobiologie und andere Neurowissenschaften sind herzlich eingeladen, bis spätestens 1. September 2025 einen Posterbeitrag zu folgenden Themen an bpm@bli.uzh.ch einzureichen:

• Molecular Psychiatry and Neuropsychopharmacology
• Computational Psychiatry and Artificial Intelligence
• Neuroimaging and EEG
• Clinical Trials
• Humanities in Psychiatry

Für die Einreichung Ihres Beitrags bitten wir Sie, ausschliesslich das bereitgestellte Formular zu verwenden. «Abstract-Formular» (DOCX, 80 KB)
Das englischsprachige Abstract sollte nicht mehr als 200 Wörter umfassen und gegliedert sein in: 
Title, Author(s), Author affiliation(s), Introduction, Methods, Results und Discussion. 

Akzeptierte Beiträge werden in einem elektronischen Abstract-Band veröffentlicht.
Eine Jury wählt die sechs bis acht besten Abstracts für eine Kurzpräsentation aus. Zudem werden die drei besten Poster mit einem Posterpreis von je CHF 400.- ausgezeichnet. 

Bitte beachten Sie, dass die Einreichung eines Abstracts keine Anmeldung zur Veranstaltung darstellt. Um Ihre Teilnahme zu bestätigen, bitten wir Sie, Ihre Anmeldung über den obenstehenden Registrierungslink abzuschließen.
