I have been engaged to various research projects as scientific contributor and project leader since 2001. My key interests in the field of substance use disorders are the patients’ attitudes and views to various aspects of the disorder and its treatment and the patients’ personality.

My contribution to the research field is driven by the conviction that the patients’ experience and behavior is based by a multifactorial bio-psycho-social process. The aims of my research activities are therefore to enlighten the patients’ diversity and to foster the transfer of the findings into clinical practice.
