Flurin Cathomas studied Medicine at the University of Basel and completed a research track residency at the Psychiatric University Hospital Zürich. After becoming a board-certified psychiatrist, he completed a research stay at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York, before returning to the PUK where he leads the Laboratory for Translational Stress Research.
